Reason 5 files compatible with reason 4

Post Mon Nov 05, pm I downloaded and installed the latest version and actually downloaded Reason 10 trial version. I'm getting odd error messages when I try to authorize Reason: "The link needs to be opened with an application - send to phrem" so I select that option and I get a Firefox.

Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page. I assumed everything needed to unpack and install Reason, including phrem, authorizer etc would be included in the download.

Has anyone else had this issue? Post Tue Nov 06, am "phrem" is a protocol that tells the browser which app to launch specifically, it should launch Authorizer. I have the same question If it does not work, I would like to suggest you run it under Compatibility Mode to test the issue.

Run in compatibility mode with administrative privilege. Right-click the. Click the "Compatibility" tab. Please check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose "Windows Vista Service Pack 2 ". Select "Run this program as an administrator" option under the Privilege Level. Click Apply, click OK. Note: If the option is unavailable when running this program as an administrator, it means that either the application is blocked from always running elevated, the application does not require administrative credentials to run, or you are not logged into the computer as an administrator.

If the issue persists, you may consider to install the latest version of Propellerhead Reason. The good news is Propellerhead works on Win 7. It looks like there is some sort of configuration issue on your system. Can you check your 'Event Viewer' and see if there have been any errors logged?
