Windows 7 ultimate connect to projector

Has there been any other answers to your question? This is my first time in the forums. I have a similar problem but with Windows Vista on Dell laptop. My external monitor was recognized just by plugging into the laptop port.

I just installed software for wireless keyboard and mouse. Now the monitor is not recognized. The F8 function has not provided any help in this case either. Any thoughts on a fix? I was finally able to solve my problem with a hint I picked up from one of the forums.

Even though it looked like had all the drivers installed after I installed Win 7, I followed up by reinstalling the Video Card driver. I found out that my video card was an Nvidia so I went to their site and got the driver for the Win 7 and my card. I installed the driver and everything is now working perfectly including the F8 funtion.
