Wine copy file

I rooted my device to copy files into the Wine folder tried the 'server share' and the c drive to find them in Wine however I can't install anything as when I try to access anything it says Access Denied. I have problems with Crossover Beta for Android as well, it never starts or finishes installing anything but that's a different topic.

I'm guessing I should just give up on Android for now until it's worked on more? From there I just went to my downloads folder and installed steam. Now the fonts and dpi is screwed in steam so I can't use it but at least I can install things now. Edit: I see I can use winecfg to mess around with settings, lets see if I can get steam usable.

I have the same error "access denied" i putted the software " sliverlight. Please help me. Best regards. I use the install function of Wine to navigate to my phones download folder for installer files. I'm using the Wine x86 build and I was able to install Steam without issue, and games seem to install but don't actually start. The store part of Steam will also not work for me. I get the best results with Wine version 3.

OBS: My Wine is 4. These changes are known as regressions, and they are unfortunately sometimes found in the Wine source code because the author of a patch that causes a regression is unaware of it.

Since the Wine developers can't possibly test every application with every patch, we have to rely on the community to inform us of when regressions occur so that the problem can be easily identified and ultimately fixed. Without community involvement, regressions can go unfixed for potentially very long periods of time.

If your application has experienced a regression, please try and provide us with as much information as you can about when and how it broke. This allows us to isolate the exact thing we screwed up in the code and provide a fix. Please provide as much as you know about which version of Wine worked, and which version didn't, including the version number and how you installed it from source, binary packages, etc.

Finally, please post these things in a bug. If possible, you should also try to isolate the exact patch which broke your application. This takes quite a bit of time, but minimal effort and computer skills, and it is the best way to get your application working again. When it comes to fixing regressions, the only thing more helpful to the Wine developers than knowing exactly which patch caused a regression is receiving a fix for the patch itself.

For help with isolating problem patches, please see the documentation on Regression Testing. Page Discussion View source History. Jump to: navigation , search. If your application doesn't work If your application experiences problems in a particular area, or fails to even run at all, there are a number of steps you can take to help us.

If your application does work, but with some difficulty Sometimes, applications run under Wine but don't function quite as smoothly as they do in windows. If your application used to work, but has since broken in a new version of Wine Wine is a large and complex project, composed of many files written by different authors. Category : AppDB.
